Armtec Acquires the Assets of Clearford Ind. Inc. Brooklin Concrete and Boucher Precast Concrete Ltd.
June 25, 2008 - Armtec announced it has purchased the assets of Clearford Industries Incorporated’s, Brooklin Concrete division and Boucher Precast Concrete Ltd.
Brooklin is the leading manufacturer of septic tanks in Ontario. They also manufacture precast concrete products including patio stones, retaining walls, transformer foundations and switching chambers. Brooklin has four plants in Ontario, (Brooklin, Newmarket, Huntsville and Haliburton.)
Boucher specializes in commercial tanks, bridges, box culverts, train boxes, barriers, transformer base and pads, electrical manholes, well tile, parking curbs, pump chambers, concrete panels and segmental rings for tunneling projects. Boucher’s facilities are located in Ottawa, Ontario.
Armtec Acquires AE Concrete
June 24, 2008 - Armtec completed the acquisition AE Concrete which included a precast production facility in Surrey, BC that manufactures and supplies precast concrete standard products to the BC and Washington state infrastructure and residential markets.
Armtec Acquires Durisol
June 5, 2008 – Armtec has completed the acquisition of Durisol Inc. Durisol, based in Hamilton, Ontario manufactures highway noise barriers and related highway and infrastructure products such as retaining walls and acoustic enclosures. Its noise barriers are highly effective at blocking sound transmission.
Armtec Acquires Bruce Tile
March 20, 2008 - Armtec announced it has purchased the assets of Bruce Tile,
Walkerton, Ontario. It is expected that the experienced and valuable
employees of Bruce Tile will join the Armtec team. Bruce Tile is a leading
drainage tile manufacturer and significant supplier to Ontario's
agricultural market. The acquisition also includes a distribution yard in
Dresden in addition to the manufacturing facility in Walkerton.
Armtec Acquires Con-Force
October 1, 2007 - Armtec completed the acquisition of Con-Force, a major
manufacturer of precast and pre-stressed concrete products in Western
Canada. Founded in 1949, Con-Force designs, manufactures and installs
precast and pre-stressed concrete components for a variety of structures
including: infrastructure, bridge and building applications. Con-Force is
headquartered in Calgary, with three large scale production facilities in
Richmond, B.C., Calgary, Alberta, and Winnipeg, Manitoba.

April 4, 2007 - Armtec Infrastructure Income Fund
announced that it has formed a Joint Venture to manufacture Bridge-Plate
in South Korea. Armtec and Fixon will be equal shareholders in the proposed
Joint Venture. Fixon, a corrugated steel pipe manufacturer, is located in
Gwangyang City, South Korea and has been selling Armtec's Bridge-Plate in
South Korea for the past three years. Armtec's capital investment will
largely be applied towards the acquisition of Bridge-Plate forming
machinery.

establishing operations in a high potential international market. The
market size and demand for bridge structures in South Korea is significant
and is expected to expand due to the unique topography and the continuing
development of the country's road system," said Charles Phillips, President

innovation. This new investment will expand our geographic diversity, a key

Armtec Acquires Exclusive Licence to Sell Concrete Arch Bridges in Canada
BEBO Concrete Arch Structures
Armtec has acquired an exclusive licence from BEBO Arch of Canada to sell
BEBO concrete arch structures in all of Canada except the Atlantic
provinces. BEBO arches have a span of up to 31 metres, which provides
Armtec’s customers a broader range of bridge solutions, complementing
traditional products such as Bridge-Plate™ and Multi-Plate®. BEBO bridges
employ similar installation techniques.
BEBO arch bridges are generally used for water crossings, and can also be used to cross surface roads and paths. Other possible applications include mining tunnels, underground storage vaults and parking garages. The BEBO system is a patented, pre-engineered concrete arch structure for buried applications where the interaction between the soil and the structure provides the strength. BEBO arches are pre-cast and shipped to the site for installation, but can also be installed on site using cast-in-place concrete technology.
Armtec Expands Product Offering Throughout Distribution Agreement with Leading Supplier of U.S. Storm Water Systems
On May 2, 2006 Armtec announced a sales and distribution agreement with CONTECH Stormwater SolutionsTM, a leading U.S. supplier of storm water quality systems. Under the terms of the agreement, Armtec will become a national distributor for CONTECH Stormwater Solutions products in Canada, effective immediately.
We will now be able to offer our customers a comphrensive Stormwater Solutions package that includes a full range of storm water quality management products (including filtration, hydrodynamic separation, screening systems and oil/water separation.) This will support our existing line of storm water detention systems, in what is expected to be a growing market as governments respond to the clean water concerns we all share.
Armtec Adds Plastic Pipe Manufaturing Capacity in Alberta
Solidifies position as only national multi-material pipe supplier
April 27, 2006 – Armtec announced it will increase its capacity to manufacture corrugated high-density polyethylene (HDPE) pipe with the purchase of a linear corrugator for the Lethbridge manufacturing facility in Alberta. The addition of this machine will enable Armtec to produce BOSS products for the growing Alberta market. Large investments in oil and gas and mining sectors, will translate in to government expenditures for building the roads, sewers, water plants, and all the other things needed to serve a growing population. With our new BOSS capacity as well as the recent purchase of Twister pipe in Calgary, we will be in a great position to meet our customers increasing needs.
Once we get the machine installed we will be able to produce BOSS products for the growing Alberta market, and will also have a good location to support growth in the southern BC, Saskatchewan and Manitoba markets as well. Armtec will also be the only company to manufacture both corrugated steel and plastic pipe in Alberta.
