Large plates mean faster assembly
Various headwall options
No deck maintenance required
Reduced tendency for deck icing
Sectional layout ensures maximum choice of arch span and shape
Single-leaf or two-leaf arch segments ensure the fastest installation times
Formwork is designed to be transported to qualified regionall-based pre-casting facilities, thus reducing travel distances for the pre-cast segments
Backfill material is granular, generally available close to site
Two-leaf arch structures are completed with a full moment joint at the crown (poured-in-place) creating the strongest arch structure possible
Structures are pre-engineered to ensure quality and to make the selection process fast and easy

Multi-Plate is Armtec’s Structural Plate Corrugated Steel Pipe as defined in CSA Standard G401. Multi-Plate is a well-proven versatile and economical pipe and bridge product and one with a fine history going back to 1932.
In most applications, Multi-Plate is used in a variety of shapes and configurations as the steel element of a soil-steel structure. In other applications Multi-Plate can be used in free-standing structures such as rock fall protection and portals, aggregate storage bins, water intakes, caissons and more. Multi-Plate is supplied in component form for field assembly.
Features and Benefits:
Variety of shapes available – Shapes include circular, pipe arch, elliptical (vertical or horizontal), arch and underpass shape.
Transportability and handling – Due to the component nature of Multi-Plate, it is particularly suitable for installation in remote areas, where transportation to the site may be costly.
Load-carrying capacity – All structures are pre-engineered and manufactured specifically for the project at hand. Plate thickness is varied to accommodate dead load and live load over the structure.
Ease of Installation – There are several characteristics which contribute to the ease with which Multi-Plate can be assembled and installed. These include: light weight of sections, bolted assembly, pre-engineered components and factory-built accessories, wide range of plate thicknesses available, granular soils used as backfill, and several others.
Super-Span is a long span soil-steel bridge that utilizes the same basic components as Armtec’s Multi-Plate. All of the economic advantages of Multi-Plate construction are present in Super-Span construction.
Features and Benefits:
Wide range of applications
Low initial cost and low maintenance cost
Wide range of sizes
Fast construction time – can be pre-erected before excavation starts
Armtec’s Tunnel Liner Plate is a sectional corrugated steel system specifically designed for soft ground tunnelling and culvert reline applications. All elements can be carried to site by hand, and assembly is completed using high-strength nuts and bolts. All assembly is undertaken from inside the completed portion of the tunnel lining, which means an exceptionally safe workplace. Tunnel Liner is available in black or galvanized steel.
Features and Benefits:
Available in round, elliptical and pipe arch shapes
Light-weight elements allow for simple assembly in confined spaces
“Bolt from inside” feature means workplace safety
Small sections allow for minimal exposed excavation
Can be used with poling plates, full shield or half-shield tunnelling methods
Can be supplied with or without grout plugs
Applications:
Tunnels
Relines of failing underground structures
Vertical shafts
Mine entries
Vertical storage bins

Armtec Mini-Span is a product developed in response to customers need for an economical and rapid solution for crossings of environmentally sensitive streams. There are four models available for optimum suitability.
Features and Benefits:
100% open bottom structure – this means a clear span across the creek, and thus a “fish friendly” bridge that preserves the aquatic habitat
Pre-assembly at the factory means reduced installation costs and time
For economy in the construction of access roads or highways, it is essential that efficient designs be employed to reduce material costs and time spent on the project. Armtec's solution to this challenge was the development of steel Bin - Wall Abutments. This type of abutment has been used on hundreds of bridges built in Canada over the past 30 years.
Features and Benefits:
Easily transported – individual components are nested into a compact, light weight load
Economical material supply and installation costs
Fast construction – components are easily bolted together
No waiting for formwork, curing time, etc
All-weather construction
Proven strength and durability
Galvanized components
No footings required
Abutments are flexible – allows for minor settlement and movement
Armtec ABC (Arch Beam Conduit) Bridges are corrugated steel horizontal ellipses or arches constructed with Multi-Plate and a reinforced concrete roof slab with extended arms. They have a very low profile, which allows installation in locations where total headroom is limited.
The highly compacted granular backfill at the sides is contained by the Multi-Plate side arcs so that soil abutments are formed to support the load from the reinforced concrete roof slab.
ABC Bridges are very cost effective and provide savings compared to conventional bridge structures.
Features and Benefits:
Low initial cost compared to other types of structures
Low maintenance cost
Short construction time
Wide range of sizes
Low profile overcomes limited headroom problem
No bridge deck icing problem
Structurally durable and reliable
Aesthetically pleasing
All components are readily available and quickly assembled
Aluminum Structural Plate offers many of the same benefits as Armtec’s Multi-Plate structures with the added benefit of enhanced durability performance. Aluminum Structural Plate is available in arch and box culvert shapes.
Features and Benefits:
Cost-efficient for small bridge replacements
Durability
Corrosion resistance
Abrasion resistance
Lifting complete structures with light-duty equipment
Armtec has acquired an exclusive licence from BEBO Arch of Canada to sell
BEBO concrete arch structures in all of Canada except the Atlantic
provinces. BEBO arches have a span of up to 31 metres, which provides
Armtec’s customers a broader range of bridge solutions, complementing
traditional products such as Bridge-Plate™ and Multi-Plate®. BEBO bridges
employ similar installation techniques.
The BEBO Concrete Arch Bridge System from Armtec is a pre-engineered system built from factory-made components and site-specific construction materials. Pre-cast concrete arch sections are shipped to site for installation on cast-in-place or pre-cast footings. The structure is backfilled with engineered granular material and finished off with wing walls, spandrel walls or other secure end finishes.
Standard sections are used to build a range of arch structures with spans from 4 metres to 30 metres. Structures can be designed to accommodate large live loads and/or high fills and can be installed far more quickly than conventional concrete bridge structures.
Features and Benefits:
Spans up to 31 metres in length
Segemental construction
Economical
Can be shipped to site for installation, but can also be cast in place using
Cast-in-place footings
Applications:
Bridges
Stream enclosures
Mining tunnels
Underground storage vaults
Parking Garages
